Cancer Research & Patient Care

Empire State Ride Long Island

Nassau Financial served as a Premier Sponsor of the 2026 Empire State Ride Long Island, joining more than 500 riders, volunteers, and supporters in the fight against cancer. The event raised $120,000 to support cancer research and patient care. We are proud to stand with the Long Island community in advancing this important mission.

Youth Leadership

Girl Scouts Making an Impact Breakfast

Nassau Financial sponsored the 2026 Making an Impact Breakfast hosted by Girl Scouts of Suffolk County. Adrienne Greene, Vice President of Retail Banking, participated on the event panel, sharing insights while supporting the organization’s work to empower the next generation of leaders.

Supporting Local Families

Town of Oyster Bay Toy Drive

Nassau Financial supported the Town of Oyster Bay’s Toys for Tots Cruise-Through Drive with a van full of donated toys. Members, team members, and community partners came together to help provide holiday gifts for local children and families in need.

Literacy & Education

More Than 700 Books Donated to The Book Fairies

Members and Nassau Financial team members donated more than 700 books for The Book Fairies. The collection helped provide books to children and adults throughout Long Island’s under-resourced communities, supporting greater access to reading and literacy resources.

Mental Health Awareness

Out of the Darkness Walk

Nassau Financial team members participated in the 2025 Out of the Darkness Walk at Jones Beach to raise awareness for mental health and support suicide prevention efforts. We were proud to join our neighbors in walking for hope, healing, and greater awareness.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Nassau Financial once again joined the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Jones Beach. Together, our team and supporters raised more than $2,000 to support breast cancer awareness and research while standing alongside survivors, families, and the broader Long Island community.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Nassau Financial helped raise more than $6,100 for Making Strides of Long Island and joined thousands of participants at Jones Beach in support of breast cancer awareness, research and survivorship.

Oyster Fest

Nassau Financial continued its longstanding participation in Oyster Bay’s Oyster Festival, one of the area’s signature community events. Our team enjoyed connecting with residents, members, families and local organizations throughout the festival.

Nassau Financial proudly sponsored the 2024 Empire State Ride in Oyster Bay. The event helped raise more than $100,000 to benefit cancer research through Catholic Health.

Making Strides Walk

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Nassau Financial participated in the Making Strides Walk at Jones Beach and raised more than $6,500 while coming together with members of the community in support of an important cause.

Student Scholarships

Nassau Financial awarded $8,000 in college scholarships to four high school seniors: Holly Dukacz, Emily McDonnell, Brian Scannell and Margaret McNamara.

Making Strides & Oyster Fest

Nassau Financial participated in the Making Strides Walk at Jones Beach and raised more than $6,500 in support of breast cancer awareness. Our team also participated in Oyster Fest in Oyster Bay, connecting with members and families from throughout the community.

August 2018

Food Drive for The INN

Nassau Financial employees donated 557 pounds of non-perishable food to The INN in Hempstead and contributed more than $1,300 to support local families in need.

Student Scholarships

Nassau Financial awarded $8,000 in college scholarships to Chelsea Altidor, Megan Bernowich, Sara Webel and Jarad Bazan based on their academic and extracurricular achievements. Bazan also received a $1,000 statewide scholarship.

May 2018

East Meadow Branch Relocation

Nassau Financial relocated its East Meadow branch to 2575 Hempstead Turnpike, expanding into a larger location with Interactive Teller Machines, digital displays, Wi-Fi, charging stations and other technology designed to improve the member experience.

February 2018

NUMC Branch Opening

Nassau Financial opened a branch at Nassau University Medical Center, returning to its roots serving members of the NuHealth System while also making the location available to hospital staff, patients, visitors and the public.

January 2018

Serving Lunch at The INN

Nassau Financial donated $1,800 to sponsor lunch at the Mary Brennan INN. Twenty team members volunteered for the day, helping with food and clothing intake, stocking and serving lunch to more than 250 guests.

November – December 2017

Holiday Toy Drive

Members and employees donated hundreds of new toys in support of the John Thiessen Children’s Foundation, helping provide holiday gifts to children who were hospitalized or homebound due to illness.

Making Strides & Team HOPE

More than 25 Nassau Financial employees and family members participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Jones Beach. Team HOPE raised more than $7,000 and became one of the top fundraising teams in the region.

September 2017

Food Drive for The INN

Nassau Financial partnered with Kindred at Home to donate 532 pounds of non-perishable food to the Mary Brennan INN. Nassau Financial also contributed $2,625 to support the organization’s food kitchen and community programs.
