Your New Card is on the Way!

You may have received a letter and email notifying you of important information regarding your Credit Card. We are in the process of upgrading our current Credit Card program. As a result, we are reissuing new Credit Cards with new account numbers. Below is some important information you should know about, and how you should prepare when your new card arrives.

Q1. Can I use my current Visa Credit Card?
A. Use your current VISA Credit Card through Saturday, November 6th, 2021. After that date, your current card will no longer be valid.
Q2. What is the last date that an online payment can be made to my current Visa Credit Card account?
A. Online payments to your current card can be set up through the end of day on Thursday, November 4th, 2021. However, no online payments with payment dates later than November 7th, 2021, can be established.
Q3. What will happen to my established automatic monthly payment that is scheduled after November 4th, 2021.
A. Automated monthly payments will be transferred and processed on the established date by the new system.
Q4. Where do I mail a payment to for my current Visa Credit Card account that is due after November 4th, 2021?
A. Mail payments for your current card to the remittance address on your statement in the envelope provided. Payments will be posted as of the date received.
Q5. Are any changes needed if I typically initiate my Credit Card payment using my bank’s bill payment service?
A. Ensure that the payee address recorded on your bill payment service matches the remittance address on your statement. The remittance address beginning with November’s statement (and thereafter) will be:
PO Box 650789, Dallas, TX 75265-0789.
Also, be certain to change the account number recorded on your bill payment service after November 4th, 2021.
Q6. Will my current Credit Card be replaced?
A. Yes, your current Visa Credit Card will be replaced with a new card and new account number. Cards for cardholders on joint accounts will share the same card number.
Q7. When will my new Credit Card be received?
A. New Credit Cards will be mailed approximately two weeks prior to conversion and should be received in late October or early November 2021.
Q8. How will I recognize the new Credit Card?
A. For security purposes, the outside of the envelope used to mail your new Credit Card does not include the Credit Union’s name or logo. Instead, it will have 2575 Hempstead Turnpike, Suite 300, East Meadow, NY 11554 printed as the return address.
Q9. When do I start using my new Credit Card?
A. Do NOT activate and use your new Credit Card until Sunday, November 7th, 2021.
Q10. How do I activate my new Credit Card?
A. Call the telephone number on the sticker on the front of your new credit card. Remember to wait until Sunday, November 7th, 2021 to activate and use your new card.
Q11. How do I establish a PIN for Cash Advances?
A. When calling to activate your new Credit Card, continue following the instructions to create a PIN needed for cash advances.
Q12. What will be the limit on my new Credit Card?
A. Your new Credit Card will have the same purchase and cash advance limits as your current card. Refer to your statement.
Q13. What security changes or enhancements are included with my new Credit Card?
A. Your new Credit Card includes the latest chip technology, which provides an added layer of security and greater protection against fraud. In addition, your new card includes Contactless Transaction features.
Q14. Can I access my Credit Card online?
A. Yes. You will be required to register your new Credit Card via Nassaufinancial.org to access your card information online.
Q15. If merchant(s) automatically bills my credit card monthly, do I need to re-enroll with my new card number?
A. Yes. You will need to advise those merchants of your new VISA® account number.
Q16. If I pay my monthly Credit Card bills through Bill Pay, what do I need to do to ensure my payment is received and posted timely to my new Credit Card?
A. After November 7th, 2021, you will need to set up a new Bill Pay because the payment mailing address is changing (see question 5 above), as well as your Credit Card number.
