That's why Nassau Financial offers Convenience Services such as online banking and bill payment, telephone banking, ATMs and so much more - to help you bank where you want, when you want. And, our services are offered either with no or lower fees than other types of financial institutions, saving you time and money.

Bank By Mail

Postage-paid reply envelopes available at no charge.

Teller Checks

Issued by the Credit Union and drawn on our correspondent bank. They are a direct obligation of the credit union and are used when the credit union disburses funds from a member's account. A nominal fee may apply.

Certified Checks

A Certified Check is created when a member writes a check on his own account and presents the check to the credit union. It is then stamped "Certified" by an officer who signs the front of the check attesting the member's signature as genuine, and that the credit union has set aside funds to pay the check. The funds are immediately transferred out of the member's account into the certified check account belonging to the credit union. This certified check is now a legal liability of the credit union.

American Express® Gift Cheques

These are available in denominations of $25, $50 and $100. A nominal fee applies.

American Express® Travelers Cheques

Cheque denominations of $10, $20, $50 and $100 are available and also are prepackaged in values of $100, $150, $250, $300, $500, and $1,000. A nominal fee applies. "Cheques For Two" are also available.

Money Orders

These are made available via Travelers Express with a face value up to $1,000. A nominal fee applies.

Notary Service

Available as a member courtesy at our Garden City, Syosset, East Meadow and Oceanside branches.

Wire Transfers

Incoming and outgoing available. Domestic and International transfers available. A fee applies.

Savings Bonds

These are available for purchase in face value denominations from $50 to $10,000, and the maturity term is 18 years. Bonds may be registered in single owner form, or with a co-owner/beneficiary. The annual face value purchase limitation is $15,000 per person or $30,000 with a co-owner Social Security number. The Social Security Number of the owner/beneficiary is required or if it is a gift, and owner/recipient is not known, the social security number of purchaser is required.

Current savings bond rates are available 24 hours a day by calling toll free (800) 4US-BOND. You can also determine the value of bonds by using a savings bond calculator.

Nassau Financial takes an order for a bond and forwards it to the Federal Reserve (Fed). The Fed then processes the order and mails the actual bond to the purchaser. Or, in the case of a gift, the Bond goes to the recipient (allow three weeks for delivery). We do not charge a fee for this service.

Electronic Tax Filing

Nassau Financial offers Tax Express Refund Service, where you can complete your tax return and attachments the way you normally would, pick up a Tax Express Refund Kit at one of our branches, and fill out the IRS e-file authorization form. Bring your completed tax return to the Credit Union and Tax Express Service will take it from there. The cost for 2007 returns is $30 to file a federal return and $40 for a Federal and State return.
